Saab: SAAB 9-5 headlights, saab 900 s, beam headlights

I have a 99 SAAB 9-5. Both of the low beam headlights stopped working last week. I didn't check the bulbs yet thinking its not a  bulb issue.Because, few months ago the left headlight would not work. I replaced the relay and then it started working. I was wondering if this is the same problem this time.Please help!!

 As noted in my profile, my hands-on expertise is limited to the older SAAB 900's; Therefore,I cannot give a definitive answer with the information given, but suggest that you carefully check all grounds to the headlight circuitry.
