I know it states that you deal with older models ..My sons car the gear box light comes on ..and it wont shift..automatic..now if you get to 4K rpm..about 40 mph... and turn car off and restart in neutral while car is still moving....then put in gear it goes to the gear it should be in..any ideas ..thnx

 Sorry, but I do NOT have hands-on experience with the newer models, particularly with the SAAB Automatics. However, I have found the VERY BEST source of info for your (or any vehicle) on <www.alldatadiy.com>; It provides complete factory manuals lacking nothing! It costs $25/vehicle/year, but well worth it in my opinion.
