Toyota: Removing Car Seats on Matrix, seat bottom, toyota matrix

QUESTION: hello;

I wanted to know how to take out my 2004 toyota matrix front driver and passenger car seats so that I can steam clean and vacumn the carpets... they are filled with dirt/sand/crumbs/ etc... on the sides/front/back corners of the car floor. please help. thanks.

ANSWER: The front seats are bolted to the floor, there are 4 bolts per seat.
After the bolts are removed, tip the seat forward to disconnect the seat belt wires.

To remove the rear seat, pull up on the front edge of the bottom cushion.

QUESTION: Will i be able to loosen the bolts and how? Can I purchase a tool of some sort??

Answer
You are going to 2 sockets, a 12 and a 14 millimeter. You will also need a ratched to fit the sockets. You will need a small straight screwdriver to loosen the plastic covers over the bolts.

You do not need any tools to pull up and remove the rear seat bottom cushion.
