Toyota: 92 camry a140e trany, toyota camry 1992, atsg manual

Question
I recently bought a 92 camry. the owner said the trany was shot & slips bad.I pulled the pan down & things looked good (no metal, fliud looked ok,not burnt). the car upshifts very soon & kills when coming to a stop. The solenoids check out ok for resistance, but i chng'd them anyway. still same. pulled vlv bodies down & cleaned & ck'd over - same. bought an atsg manual from e-bay to check pin-out pwr, etc., at the trany ecu, but doesn't have the info i need.also bought a snap-on scanner & cartridges for this year car. (no codes)my next step is to ck the main psi,but i'm wondering if my converter could be shot? any help or input would be greatly appreciated!

Answer
Alrighty.. First of all, I hate AT:)  I want a manual tranmission the moment this bad-boy dies.  So, I'm sorry I can't truly help with your woes but I will give you the link that can give you the low down on your transmission.  This is the link that I have to download the Toyota Camry 1992-1996 Service Manual.  I know you said you got one on EBay but I hope that you'll find what you need in this one.  The next step is to sign up for ToyotaNation.com.  Transmissions..  who would?  Hmmm....  88LE?  You can go to the Camry thread and post your question there, they will definetely help if they can.  Link: http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t62501.html (Service Man.) This forum is where you can post your trans question and I'm sure you'll get help.  Sorry I couldn't help though:(
