Volkswagen: 1979 vw superbeatle conv., ac compressor, sankyo

Since I've owned the car the ac compressor was missing. Everything else seems to be there except for the belt. Any help locating a compressor would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi John,

Some of the aftermarket compressors for the VW were either Sankyo or
Tecumseh.

The old compressor is a one-piston.  Its very inefficient and slows down the car drastically.

You can still find them occasionally on ebay or www.thesamba.com
