QuestionI have the error code P0411 (secondary air injection system is incorrect.) I have the VR6 motor. Any clues on how I can trouble shoot this?

The secondary air injection system is an air pump that injects air
into the exhaust when you start the engine cold in order to more quickly warm your cat. converter and reduce
hydrocarbons out the exhaust when the engine is cold.
It consists of the pump itself (about $400.00), vacuum lines, and a combination valve that shuts it off..aka combi-valve.
The best thing to do is to check all of the vacuum lines (near the brass ones too) -- they tend to crack and is most likely your cause.
Otherwise, you will need to get a Robert Bentley guide to troubleshoot the combi-valve.
The worst case scenario is the pump itself, but as a rule, they are pretty sturdy.
