Volkswagen: Fuel clogg, fuel filter, gears

Question
hey wow what a great service.

i have a 1970 bug, and this mornign when i went to drive to work it
wsant running so good. it would chug like it wasnt getting the gas
it needed. it did this in all gears. someone suggested it may be the
fuel because i had ran it pretty low on fuel days before. if this is
true. how do i fix this. or what are your suggestions?

Answer
Hi,

There is a plastic fuel filter that is located next to the carb.  Most likely, this has clogged up.

New ones are available at:

www.gowesty.com

They are relatively inexpensive.

Good Luck, let me know if this doesn't fix your problem.
