Volkswagen: 1979 super beetle convertable, gas tank, beetle convertable

Hi,
I removed the gas tank from my 79 super beetle to remove rust from inside it. It had a gas heater system attached. I re installed the gas tank, but can not remember how to re connect the gas heater. Can you suggest a place I can find instructions on how to do this for a VERY poor mechanic like myself?

Sure Kent,

It is in the Supplement of "THE OFFICIAL VW SERVICE MANUAL".  The book is green.  If you cannot find one online, let me know I'll dig through some books and see what I have.

ALSO

You can put "Eberspacher Gas Heater" installation instructions into a search engine on the net, maybe you will get lucky.


I personally, never put this in a bug, so this will help you out.  Please let me know how you make out.
