The barrel of the drivers lock has become disconnected from the rest of the locking mechanism. Please can you povide me with a detailed sketch of how to connect the barrel back to the rest of the locking mechanism. I've removed the inner panel from the door but it is still unclear how the two parts are attached.

Hello Andy,

Usually if the barrel falls off, something has broken, and I believe it can not be connected.  But there is good news.

If you go find a handle/key assembly with a barrel at a junkyard, any locksmith can 're-key' the new one to fit your original key, so you do not need two keys.
