Volvo: v50 brake vacuum pump, vacuum pump, volvo

i currently have a v50, the vacuum pump went noisey, fitted new unit from volvo, however the pump is noisey and it seems to over run after the key is taken out this runs for about 3 mins, any ideas to help

I would have to say that maybe there is a leak in one of the lines that attach to the pump or in the system, and it will run (even with the key off) until the proper vacuum is met. Then since the key is off it will stay off until the car is started again. Go back to the dealer with the car and have them look into the system more closely.
