Volvo: replace stop lamp, volvo s80, volvo dealer

I need to replace the third brake light bulb in my 2003 Volvo S80.  When I check the owner's manual, it states to take the car to a Volvo dealer.  How do you replace the bulb?

Is not the third light a LED type of light? That will need a complete replacement. So begin by removing the 1/4 turn clips that hold up the headliner lower it to see if you can reach in to unplug and unbolt the light assembly. You may want to have the new one on hand to go back together right away.
