Volvo: hard starting volvo s80 t6, volvo s80 t6, crank shaft

transmission replaced and now engine is rough starting. Usually takes 2-3 tries; tach jumps. Battery, cam sensor, crank shaft sensor have been replaced. Mechanic checked codes and found nothing. Another mechanic suggested it may be the battery cable and other wiring arching?

Look for a wire either pinched or a loose ground wire in a place or area that you have worked in. If the trans you put in was painted the mating surface to the engine will need to be cleaned sanded where it mates to make a good ground. One other thought is if the fuel rest pressure drops as the car sits, or  loss of rest pressure.
