Volvo: vibration durring acceleration 98 v70 xc, mile trip, vibration

Question
Hi Ray,
Sometimes when I accelerate (medium to full throttle) I get a vibration in what I believe is coming from the engine.  It does not do this all the time.  When it happens I let off the gas and then press the gas less.  Sometimes that will work, others I need to do that trick more.  Could it be a crack in the turbo?  If so is it a big deal?  I'm broke so I can live with it until I have more $$.  I will be making a 15,000 mile trip soon.

Answer
Nick,
The vibration is not caused by a bad turbo. It more likely is in the driveline or possible motor mounts, coulper, final drive. Since this could cause major problems I would have it checked as soon as possible. Is the check engine light on? Could this vibration be the casue of a poor running vehicle?
