Volvo: Volvo S40 Blinking Transmission Lamp, blown fuse, volvo s40

Question
I recently replaced a Coil and my Spark Plugs.  I accidentally grounded out a
wire so I blew the 20 Amp engine fuse.  After remedying this problem the
Transmission Lamp began blinking and will not go off.  Do you have any idea
why this problem decided at this point?  Do you think it could be related to
the blown fuse or do you believe it is just a coincidence that it decided to
show up now?

Thank you

Answer
Sean,
Hard to guess what happened. Have the codes read in the Trans clear them and drive the car to see if any codes return. If the codes return repair the fault(s) and continue to drive. My first instinct would be that something just went wrong when that fuse blew.
