Volvo: Electrical Fan, volvo model, scan tool

I have recently replaced the battery in my volvo a few days ago. For some reason the electrical fan keeps running after the car is turned off.On the inside of the car all instruments for the fans are off like the ac and other.I tried replacing the fuse but that doesn't work either. The only way to turn it off is by unpluging the fan cable that hooks up to the fuse. Can you help me on some tips. The volvo model I have is 2001, S80 turbo. Thanks

Read any fault codes repair as needed. If the cooling fan is stuck it could be a faulty relay. If the heater A/C fan is on the after blow setting maybe incorrect. This will require reading codes and testing the fan(s) using the Volvo scan tool, in most cases.
