Volvo: 1998 v0lvo 40s, brake warning light, battery charge

Hi Ray,  GOT A RED LIGHT COMING ON IN THE DASH  ON SPEEDOMETER RIGHT HAND CORNER MARKED EXT COULD YOU TELL ME WHAT IT MEANS.    REGARDS  GEORGE

On the U.S. version cars the first year is 99/2000. From right under the speedo center moving to the right to the light between the speedo and the fuel/temp gauge. 14 Hazard warning light on
15 Fault in SRS system
16 Brake circuit not working (brake fluid level too low) and EBD
17 Battery charge failure
18 Not in use
Since the light is RED that would indicate immediate attention required. If I had to guess I would say the was the brake warning light that means fluid is low, or the EBD switch needs attention.
