Volvo: 2003 xc70 bleeding whole brake system, shade tree mechanic, power bleeder

Question
Hi Ray,
I just replaced the power brake booster on my 2003 xc70.
This was a Very hard job for a shade tree mechanic who doesn’t bend so well anymore.

How do I go about bleeding the system?
The master cylinder was removed along with the 2 lines coming out of it.
I have lots of air between the master cylinder and the block where all the lines meet.
Everything is put back together.
I have not pushed the brake pedal or hooked up the battery.  I hope you can help even though it is newer than 2000.
I hope this is something I can do.
Thanks
Peter

Answer
Peter,
Get a power bleeder, and some new clean fluid. Hook it up and begin the bleeding at the right rear wheel, moving to the left rear to the right front. The reason for power bleeding is there is a lot of fluid to move and pedal pumping will take "forever". You have to bleed out all the fluid until you see the fluid comes out clear and clean.
