Volvo: volvo cruise, clutch pedals, vacuum lines

Question
Hello, I have a volvo s70 and the cruise does not work. I was wondering what the possibilities could be. All the fuses work fine. Do you believe it is a possible sensor problem? Thanks

Answer
Elliot,
The most common causes are broken vacuum lines and broken or out of adjustment cruise shut off switch on the brake/clutch pedals.
Using the Volvo system tester you can read the electrical switch movements to help with diagnostics. Depending on the year of the car you can drive the car with the VST on and take some readings, while in the monitor mode.
