Volvo: 1996 Volvo 850, volvo 850, speed signal

I have a 1996 Volvo 850 and the seat belt locked - it just wont let go. Also the SRS light came on, however, I have not have anything done or any accidents. What could be the problem? Also, the speedometer and odometer will not work. At one point it would work intermittently and eventually it just stopped working. Thanks.

The SRS will have fault codes that will help find the problem. It just might be the seat belt that is stuck. It will most likely require replacement.
Again read fault codes for the cluster, also see if there are ABS codes. If the ABS control unit is bad the speed signal might not make it to the dash cluster.
