RV Repair: coleman popup, shear pin, cable system

Hi Bill, I just asked about fixing a lift cable system on my 93 coleman popup..newport..but after talking with repair folks here who want me to bring it in for diagnosing first...it sounds like I may have a "wiffle tree" bracket problem...needing a shear pin? Make any sense to you? Thanks for the advice and hope it is not raining in Alaska...been raining here in Mass for nearly a year (i think)Audrey

I think that the reason they want you to bring it in is that they don't know any more about making the repairs than you do. I would have a shot at it myself just like you are planing. Get the ready made cables form the manufacturer and then string them in there yourself. Weather is pretty good here in the summer.
