Volvo: 98 volvo, key code, linkage

Last night for the first time I can't get the key out of the ignition, withe the key in the remote doesn't work,had to leave it in and lock/unlock the car with second key. Everything works fine except the key thing!

There have been many problems with the ignition lock assembly. Make sure that the car is going into park all the way, because if it will not the key will not turn far enough to be removed. If it is not because of the trans linkage then, order a new lock by key code and replace it.
