Volvo: 1984 245 wont start, gas flows, test light

Question
One afternoon car wouldn't fully start after running fine that morning (and for months as daily driver). It would crank over, start and die immediately. Used other car until now trying to fix it. Replaced main fuel pump. Will crank over, has spark, but no gas flow when trying to start with key. Jumped 5&7 fuses can hear relay (at passenger side) click and both pumps operate, gas flows at engine before injectors. But when turn the key the relays/pumps stop. Ignition switch shorting out?
Thanks for any help on what to check next.

Answer
Don,
What is the fuel pressure at the fuel rail? Using a noid test light for injectors, plug it in and crank over the engine to see if you are getting the pulse for the injectors. Most times your problem turns out to be the fuel system control unit. No signal to open the injectors.
