Volvo: Volvo v40 pin code, v40 sport, volvo dealer

Hi,
Whilst driving home from work I suddenly lost my speedo, Fuel gauge, Temp gauge and rev counter! all the digital displays have gone aswell. Where the odometer was Pin code has appeared. Rang my local garage and Volvo dealer but both had never heard of this problem!! Any ideas? Its a 2001 V40 sport Manual. Many thanks Ant

If you need a PIN number for the instrument cluster so it can be reprogrammed, the dealer will have to supply it. You might be better off taking your car to the dealer for the work, they may not want to give out any PIN numbers to shops. I am not sure what the cause would be if you are also asking why it stopped working, perhaps a power loss low battery charging system not up to par.
