QUESTION: As I understand it a 01 V70 T5 automatic has had trans issues related to software and dirty fluid, by removing the return line at the trans (after draining and refilling by way of the bottom plug)and inserting a 9/16 hose into the rad, starting the engine and catching the fluid in a mesured container, waiting till fluid runs clear and replacing that amount of fluid with new Mobil 3309 should result in the same as costly tran flush at the stealer. RIGHT??

It is possibly to do the change yourself. Dealers and shops have a machine that hooks to the cooler lines and the trans pump pressure pushes out the old fluid and installs the new at the same time, so the trans will not starve for fluid. Make sure the fluid you use is corrrect, the wrong fluid ofter ruins the trans.
