Volvo: 99 C70 Convertible (rag top) roof Problem, sweet answer, factory rep

My roof has a problem. I can open it about 2 inches only at the back, and then it jams, and I then can't close it electrically. The only way to get it back down is to manually wind it down, but of course this does not reset the computer and so I get the warning beep and flashing light on the roof button. Any ideas on how I can at least reset it to open and then close it again?

The tops have had a lot of problems. All that I can advise is to get the car to the dealer and see if they can make some adjustments. Get the dealers input and if need be have the dealer get the factory rep involved. Sorry no short/sweet answer here.
