Volvo: 1998 Volvo S70 cranks but wont start, volvo s70 glt, 1998 volvo s70 glt

Question
Up until now, my 1998 Volvo S70 GLT started quickly. Now, suddenly, it doesn't start at all, though it cranks fine. Using a voltmeter, I saw no voltage on the terminals of the Bosch ignition coil, and no spark from its high voltage output. What is the most likely defective part? Or what should I do to further diagnose the problem?

Answer
Daniel,
Read the fault codes to see what it might have stored as a fault. Deal with those faults and see if then the vehicle will run. Yes you will need a Volvo scan tool to read the faults. If no faults are shown see if you are getting power to the fuel pump.
