Volvo: volvo 940 se lambda sond problems, oil filler cap, flame trap

Question
i have a volvo 940 se lambda sond and the lamda sond light is on all the time in the dash for a start and the nxt is when ver it is running it is pushing oil out of the oil filler cap quite severly can you tell me what could be causing this i have been told it could be the breathers

Answer
Simon,
Sound as though the flame trap (breather system) is blocked. Get the car to a Volvo shop so they can fix it before the front and rear seals start to leak. Lamda light could mean that service is needed to the Oxygen sensor system. In the U.S. they have done away with all the Lamda lights, so check with your local Volvo shop for needed. service.
