Volvo: Volvo S40 ignition problem, volvo s40, reconized

I have the same problem with my Volvo S40 1996. Everything is fine, excepts it's don't start sometimes. Have you found solution or idea where the problem is? I have read several posts at the different forums with the same problem.
Any ideas ?

If the car has an alarm I would say the antenna ring around the ignition lock is failing. Or the key that you use the chip is not being reconized by the antenna ring. If that is not the case is the fuel system turing on when the car is cranked over? Did you see if there was some codes set that might lead to the no start, like flywheel, or cam pick up codes?
