Volvo: S80 Dashboard, sw program, clock drive


Question
Below the tachometer on my S80, I have a small window with a clock, drive position indicator, temperature gauge.  A few weeks ago the lights went out in the window, I can't see anything.  How can I fix this?

The cluster will have to be removed so the bulbs can be changed

Notes
DRIVER INFORMATION MODULE (DIM), REPLACING
Preparations
NOTE! Read off data from the control module before replacing the control module. This is carried out via VADIS communication. The current data must be entered into the new control module after replacement.

Driver information module (DIM), replacing
Ignition off.
Remove the key.
NOTE! The key must be removed to ensure that the ignition is not switched on by mistake.
NOTE! After the key has been removed: Wait 1 minute before starting work
Remove:
the surround from the driver information module (DIM).  
the 4 screws.
the connector.

Installing the driver information module (DIM)

Install:
In reverse order.

Ordering software and programming control modules
Order the software. See Order SW. Program the new control module. See Load SW.

Finishing work
The customer parameters must be programmed after replacing the control module. The clock must also be reset. Finally check that no diagnostic trouble codes (DTCS) were stored during replacement.
