Volvo: 850 maintenance, acse, rule of thumb

Question
I have an 850 (not Turbo) with 97000 miles on it. I would like to keep the car for another year or so, and I put only about 4-5,000 miles a year on it. I had the dealer do  "major service" at 90,000 miles, which was about 3- years ago.  My question is what if any service should I do at 100,000 miles? I checked the details of the 90K mile service, and it listed plugs, air cleaner, Dexron (I assume this was trans fluid, but I only paid $9 for it, and the quantity was "4", so I'm not sure if that meant they changed all the fluid or just added some?). I looked at the service manual and it lists a couple of things that I don't believe they did - EGR valve, pcv filter and hose. Can you give me any guidance as to what I might need to do? And is the fact that I put so little miles on it (I put 2K on it each year for several years, and just last year started having to drive it to work, so I now put on about 5K a year. I did a timing belt at 70,000, but have not ever had wires changed. Any advice on what you would do in my acse would be appreciated. The car runs well.

Thanks.

Answer
Zach,
With age on things like the cap, rotor, wires, t/belt I would consider having those things replaced. If the t/ belt breaks it does major damage. Cap rotor and wires get old the engine will begin to miss. Even that you drive very little the parts do age. My rule of thumb t/belt every 5 years or 70K. Cap rotor and wires 100K. PCV about every 18 months. Oil and filter every 3 months.
