1988  760 wagon 70k orig miles,I would like to install a remote start ?how difficult and what ones are out their that are user friendly.Brad ALSO"just the dash speakers work,,no door back or front work, tried fuse 32 or 33,,no difference,,,not even a volume change, thought this fuse was for amp,,is their a separate fuse for amp and  cassette? Brad"

-----Answer-----
Brad,
Remote starter kits go on pretty easy. I would say that the easiest is for starting only. That way you only have to find the wires to start the car, and turn on the accessories.
Adjust the balance and fader also see if the speakers work. If not you may have a bad amp to drive the speakers.

Answer
Brad,
I am not familure with remote start kits. Ask questions of the sales people where you plan to buy it.
If the radio and or amp is begining to burn out it may slowly drop off speakers as it dies. You can try to get used Volvo parts to try or get to a radio store and have a after market radio installed.
