-----Question-----
I have a 1994 850 and I want to replace the burned out dashlights by the speedometer and tach. Is there an easy way to do this?
-----Answer-----
Floyd,
The cluster will have to be pulled out. There is no room to reach up and get to the bulbs.

Answer
Floyd,
The bulbs are replaceable. Pry out the vents, look into the dash vents holes top section and you will see screws, pull those all out from all vents. Pull out glove box and you will see bolts that hold the right air bag to the dash, pull those out. Now when you unplug the air bag DO NOT turn on the key, that will set a fault code. Pull off the covers of the dash speakers and remove them.  I think only the right side has a screw that hold the crash pad, remove that screw. There are small vents at the sides of the crash pad (where the door meets the pad when closed) pop out the round center piece and remove the screw, pulling out the vent panel. At this point you should have everything disconnected, so pull off the crash pad. You will see two clamps that hold the cluster in place loosen them lift the cluster and unplug all the wires and hoses as needed. Replace the bulbs and go back together.
