Volvo: blown fuse, blown fuse, fuse box

Question
Is it common for a 1978 244 dl to keep blowing the fuse which powers the front/rear park lights.  the fuse is second from the bottom in the fuse box and is an 8A fuse.
(As soon as I put a fuse in and turn the lights on it blows)

Answer
David,
No that is indicating that there is a short somewhere in that system. You need to look for bare wires a bad bulb socket or some spot that the power wire is shorting to a ground. Remove the power from one front or rear lamp at a time and see which is the last one to stop the fuse from blowing out.
