Volvo: Volvo S70 coolant in oil, head gasket, turbo work

Question
I have a 1998 s70 2.4 turbo 146,000 mile it overheated and blew coolant out of the rear of the engine and there is coolant in the oil i am wondering if this is possibly just a head gasket and if so i am a fairly compentent mechanic on american cars is the any way i could fix this and would a 1999 2.4 turbo work in this car as i can pick one up for $950 that runs and has 64,000 miles any help is much appreciated

Answer
Greg,
More than likely the head is warped and will need to be straightened. The 98 and 99 Year/Model are not usually interchangeable engines. There was a chassis split where the engines took a change. One difference is 98 has plug wires cap and rotor and 99 has ignition coils.
