Volvo: Rotors/Brakes, warped rotors, last question

Question
I know that you say you can answer up to 2000 but I thought I would throw this out there.  I have a 2001 v70 2.4 turbo that shakes when I apply the brakes.  I suspect that it is the rotors but How can I tell which rotor it is?  I have changed rotors on a domestic truck...in your expert opinion do you think that changing the rotors on a 2001 volvo would be dooable for a semi-novice that is not afraid of a challenge?  One last question....Can I buy off the shelf rotors at a parts store or is it best to buy OEM rotors?

Answer
Judd,
You need to check for run out on each rotor. Most techs always replace rotors, brake pads front end components in pairs. Just get both front rotors and replace them. It is not too hard a job to replace. O.E.M rotors or a least a brand name are worth the money. Some of the "least expensive" ones tend to warp and then you are right back where you are right now with warped rotors and shaking wheel.
