Volvo: 1991 volvo 940 gle headlights dont work?, volvo 940 gle, beam headlights

Question
I have this 1991 940 GLE that the low beam headlights dont work.I can flash the high beams and they work.Checked headlight relay with known good one.Have power to headlight switch and can jump switch and make headlights and foglights come on at same time.Checked headlight switch w/known good one.Checked fuses at center console ok.My question is does power go through bulb light failure sensor and if does where is this sensor located. If not does this vehicle have a daylight running module and if so where is it located?

Answer
Randy,
Yes the headlights do go through the bulb out relay. That relay could be bad and is located behind the fuses in the relay panel. It is the large round red one toward the left side. In that car there are two different headlight switches one maked with a 1 and the other 2. The one marked 1 works as a standard switch turns light on and off. The one marked 2 turns on the headlights in the off and on position and in the parking light position turns on the parking lights only.
