Volvo: check engine light, coolant leaks, oil dipstick

Question
I'm upset, 3 months ago my volvo S90 overheated, they pulled the engine and sent it to a machine shop, a week later I got it back (almost 3 grand) to make a VERY LONG story short, they sent it back again to the machine shop, I've had the car back in the shop maybe 15 or so times, I've had coolant leaks, oil leaks, PS leaks, fuel leaks, brakes went, and still after all this the check engine light won't go off, I've brought it back time after time, they say the engine is tired? There is alot of pressure coming out of were you pull out the oil dipstick, and the engine oil was boiling when I took the cap off when the car was running, I'm at the end of my rope and pocket book, it's cost about 4 grand so far and now the ABS light goes on and off too. I want to trade the car in but can't until it is running correctly. HELP

Answer
Vicki,
See if the service manager can give you some help. Or time for another shop to get involved. Looks like if you want to repair the car there will be additional cost. Another possibility is get the car to a dealer and trade it like it is.
A lot of pressure when pulling out the dip stick is a blocked flame shield assembly. Oil that is boiling is something that I have not ever seen. Is it possible that when you look at the oil it is mixed with air bubbles? That would indicate that the oil pump pick up seals are begining to fail and they need replacement. You can also look into a used engine to install.
