Volvo: 1999 S70 AWD Intermittent warning lights, sensor curcuit, odometer readings

Question
Thanks Ray! Jimmy, pipe in if you can.
The ABS, CHeck Engine AND Brake warning lights come on when the engine, on it's own, changes RPM's. Then - the speedometer goes to 0 mph and the two milage readings, odometer's,  go to dashes. It can stay that way for a while, then go back to all lights go off except Check Engine.
Yesterday the lights came on AND the orange arrow representing "W" mode came on blinking and the car went into that W transmision mode, slower, more set for winter, slippery driving.

The speedometer abd odometer readings go off now 8 seconds after the Brake, ABS, "W" orange arrow and check engine light comes on. Seems like it's all getting worse. The battery is a "DECA", Part #547/90 ,  3 years old.
I went to AutoZone for the OBD II tester gave 4 errors related to the Output Sensor curcuit, Main Catalys belwo threshold Bank1, Mfg controlled vehicle speed idle control, Mfg controlled computer and aux outputs.

Does all that sound like I need a new computer cntrl box or a battery ? I'm going to try thr battery first - obviously.

Answer
Gary,
There is possibility a throttle housing issue and sometimes there is a download that can be install and other times a new throttle houing is needed. Other fault code may also be present and need attention. You need to get to a shop that can read those codes and preform any repairs needed. The other warning lights that are on mean there are codes that will need to be addressed and repairs made.
Load test the battery and if it fails install a new batrery, or just start with a fresh battery. Best thing to do get those codes read and see what needs repair.
