RV Repair: Slide Outs, golden falcon, fifth wheel

I recently purchased a 1998 35 ft Golden Falcon fifth wheel (made by Glendale). It has water damage over the main slideout. I want to pull the slideout completely out to repair the ceiling of the slideout and to replace the carpet. And if I am able to do this, I will pull the other two slideouts out and replace the carpet on them as well What is the best and safest way to get the slideout out?

Jerry, There are several different slide out mechanism's on the market, but you will need to pull the inner beasel off and get the slide to clear the outer wall. Then depending on how big the slide is you will need several people to help you get it off the slide system. Then you can do what you want to do. Hopefully you have had some experience in construction as you will need it to do this. Thanks, Bill
