Volvo: 1990 740GL Speedometer and Gas Guage, fuel gauge, temperature gauge

Question
I recently purchased a 1990 740 GL with 200K miles on it.  I have been trying to figure out why the speedometer stopped working suddenly as well as the gas guage.  The anti-lock light came on at the time as well, and is on continuously (though sometimes it goes off for a second at startup and then comes on when the car starts to move.  I read somewhere that there is a fuse on some speedometer converter or something that might tackle these issues, but for the life of me I can't seem to locate it! Where woudl I look to find and test/replace said fuse...or what else should I be looking for/at?  Thanks so much in advance for any help with this,

Justin

Answer
See if temperature gauge is working. The fuel gauge supply comes from the temperature gauge.
If the temperature gauge works, check the fuel gauge with a test resistor of 68 ohm, P/N 999 5824-1
(Speedo)For VDO, check that the seal (made of lead) is not broken and causing loose contact.
Check if both speedometer and trip meter are malfunctioning.

If only one of them is not working, the speedometer is faulty, replace as per S17-S21.

If neither are working, the lead may have come off or have shorted.

Check leads with an ohmmeter. If the leads are Intact, the speedometer is defective.
...there's more to it, but you'll need a technician to proceed futher.
