Volvo: 2000 VOLVO S80T6 2.8, volvo s80t6, transmission control module


Question
I HAVE A S80 IN MY SHOP. ALL THE INDICATOR LIGHTS ARE ON (ENGINE LIGHT,ABS,SRS) . THE CAR DRIVES FINE, UNTIL WE DID BRAKES AND THE DRIVE BELT.
WE REPLACED NEW ROTOR, PADS FRONT AND REAR.NOW THE CAR WILL NOT DOWN SHIFT OR UP SHIFT. IT HAS THE MANUAL SHIFT AND THAT DOESN'T WORK EITHER. i SCAN THE COMPUTER i RECEIVE MANY CODES INCLUDING
P1631 A TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE. I WAS WNADERING IS IT SOMETHING I DID THAT CAUSE THE TRANS TO ACT UP OR IS THIS COMMON,OR ARE THERE SENSOR IN THE ROTORS CONTROLLING THIS.

Eric,
Look over the areas that you where in and see if anything looks out of place. Check the fuses make sure they are all good. Clear all the code and leave the battery disconnected overnight. See if any or all the codes return. Are any of the codes you get ABS codes for the rear wheel sensors? Many control unit have gone bad in the 850's and S70's.
