Volvo: Lost Key, test scanner, computer interface

I've lost my only S80 (2000) key.  The last time this happened the dealer charged me $250 plus I had to have the car towed to the dealer for another $50.  This is INSANE!!  $300 and extreme aggravation over a car key.  How do I get the key code and computer interface disabled so I don't have to go through this anymore.

I do not beleive that the interface with the security system can be disabled. Key code should have been provide to you at the time of purchase. The programing between the key and car will have to be done with someone that has the right type of test scanner, call some shops and see if anyone in your area has that scanner.
