Volvo: engine vibration when in drive / not moving, volvo c70, engine vibration

hi, i have a 98 volvo c70, last week i started noticing a vibration in the gas pedel then it stopped , now there is a vibration when the car is in drive, but not moving. it does not vibrate in any other gear. and the vibration will often stop for a few hours.can you help me > thanks jason

If there is not a check engine light on indicating that a code could be set for some runnabilty problem, then have the motor mounts checked. They could have sagged enough so the engine is laying on the frame and that vibration is felt in the entire car.
