Volvo: 1998 S70 ABS Panel Light, abs light, brakes

Question
I had my brakes replaced on my 98 S70, but my ABS Panel light is still lighting up.  Does this reflect a problem with the ABS?  Or is it just that the light needs to be turned off?  Should I take it into the dealership?

Thanks

Answer
Kristy,
If the ABS light is on that means there is a fault in the system and the ABS will not work. If you want to have the ABS in working condition you will need to take it in and see what is failing. Most times it is the ABS control unit that will need to be replaced. The control unit replaced is about $575.00.
