Volvo: 850 no codes on a side slot 2 and 6, engine cranks, cylinder walls

 My 95 850 will trn over but not start. tried to read the codes on slot 2 on the a side,no codes just a dim constant light when I plug in. Slot 6 has no light(except when pushing down the button),no codes. Any thoughts?

Yes do a fuel pressure test and then test for spark. See if that leads anywhere. I have seen when someone trys and trys to start their car the gas that had been injected into the engine will wash down the cylinder walls and lower the compression enought that it will not start. The symtom is the engine cranks over faster than normal and will not attempt to fire. Do a compression test see what it is and if it is low squirt some oil into the cylinders and then try to start the car.
