possible error code h.8.8 only half an h comes up?, before that it read 56 then after h.8.8 it went to 7.0 service engine alternates between now/soon

The FIRST thing you need to do is replace the climate control panel as some of the segments for the numbers are burnt out.

It is supposed to read 8.8.8 NOT h.8.8 and then display a code and thenm go to .7.0.

we do not know if that is a 65 or some other number.
