Volvo: 960 doors lock by themselves, blown fuses, light fuse

Question
'93 960 doors lock by themselves sometimes. Also, can't open doors when car is running and in neutral.  Chime always sounds when door is open whether key is in ignition or not. What would cause these conditions?

Answer
Toby,
Door locks sound like the main lock relay (part of the drivers lock knob) is failing, or has some shorted wiring.
Key chime, look to see that the small flap in the ingition lock is there and is working. I have seen some stick and the chime continues to ring. Check for any blown fuses as they also cause (especially the brake light fuse) the chime to ring. Mostly however anytime the car is running.
