Volvo: 1990 740 gl Stabelizer bar, volvo 740 gl, volvo 740

Nigel I have a 90 Volvo 740 gl that needs a stabelizer bar.  How can I find the correct size for that make?  Do you know what it is?  I'm not that savy on repair work, but am replacing it with a used part.

a mechanic told me a great trick --just get some milimeter wrenches and see which one fits on it, it will be 17 , 18, 19 or 20 etc. mm , i havn't a clue what yours is, being a gl it's probably the bigger one, the larger size will be for a higher performance car- gl's , turbo etc. (will not lean that much during high speed turns , so this would be a thicker bar)
