Volvo: Best years for Volvo 240?, volvo 240, system 90

hi ray,

i have owned two Volvo 240 sedans, one an '86 and one a '90. the '86 was bar far more reliable than the '90. i have heard that the best years for the 240 4-door sedan were around '84-'87. can you let me know what you think/know?

I would say the best years were 85-89. The 85 was the first year of the B230F engine and 89 is the last year of the LH 2.2 fuel system. 90 still uses the B230F but the fuel system was "refined" to the LH 2.4 that is good, but somewhat troublesome in the 200 series car.
