Nissan Repair: 1999 Frontier 2x4 2.4l Suspension, air shocks, information thanks

Question
Hello Von,
thanks for your recent response on my clutch question.  Clutch was replaced and all is well.  My frontier sits low.  I would like to raise the rear end.  What do you recommend for me to raise it and add stability.  I use it to haul stuff in and when I put a load in it, the pickup bottoms out.  I want to raise it and stabilize it.  I have thought about using raising blocks, but a parts dealer stated that the ride may comprimised and the leaf springs my bend back.  Would adding a leaf be better?  Blocks?  Air bags?  Once the rear is raised will I have to re-align the front end? I have noticed the the frontier has some type of adjustment bar to each front tire.  Will that raise the front of the vehicle if I wanted to raise the front end a little?  I'm sorry about this long question.  I really appreciate your information.  Thanks a Mil.

Answer
Alex,

If you just want to haul teavy things once in a while I would go with air shocks.  If you are looking at a lift kit I would go with something from the Nissan parts book since you know the parts are going to work.  If you jack up the rear you will need to do the front of the truck will drive funny.  I do not like blocks and there are several companies that offer options on spindle kits and lift kits.
